T1, with the return of Lee “Faker” Sang-hyuk, concludes regular season play with two straight wins.
T1 finished the regular season with nine wins and two consecutive victories, including a 2:1 victory over Reef Sandbox in Game 1 of Day 3 of Week 9 of the 2023 League of Legends Champions Korea Summer at Roll Park in Jongno-gu, Seoul on Thursday.
T1 went into game one with a well-balanced offense and defense combination led by ‘Zeus’ Xanthe, while Live Sandbox went into the game with a risky but high-firepower combination of Gwen and Tristana-Kaissa. Eventually, despite Azir ‘Faker’ Azir getting cut early in the game, T1 broke the nexus at 28-minutes and took the set 1-0, with Xanthe leading the way, killing enemy champions in every engagement.
In game two, Park “Teddy” Jin-seong’s Kaisa rescued Reef Sandbox from the brink of defeat. T1 started to snowball in the early game with aggressive lane interventions from ‘Owner’ Lee Sin. A baron burst at 21-minutes sealed the deal for T1, as they blocked Sejuani ‘Willer’ Sejuani’s entry for a hard-hitting steal, gained buffs and secured an ace. T1 crushed Reef Sandbox with firepower in every engagement and closed out the game at 31-minutes.
