Report of threats against ‘fakers’ received… T1 responding with high priority

T1 says it will take a strong stance against death threats directed at Lee “Faker” Sang-hyuk from the community.
안전놀이터 After the conclusion of the second round of the 2023 League of Legends Champions Korea Summer Playoffs between T1 and kt Rolster, a death threat was posted on a community targeting Lee “Faker” Sang-hyuk. Police said they received a report that a post was made on an online community at around 10 p.m. on Oct. 10, saying, “I will go to the accommodation of Faker’s team ‘T1’ and harm him with a weapon.” The post has since been removed. The post has since been removed, but police said they plan to trace the IP to identify the author and arrest him.
Lee’s team, T1, also warned of a tough response. “We are actively investigating and responding with a very high priority,” a T1 representative told dailyeSports, adding that they have filed an additional report. Currently, police cars are reportedly waiting in front of T1’s practice room.
A larger-than-normal number of security personnel will also be deployed at Roll Park in Jongno-gu, Seoul, where the match will be held. Lee’s T1 will play the winner of today’s match between Genji Esports and Hanwha Life Esports for a spot in the LCK Summer Finals on Wednesday.
