Tottenham Hotspur captain Son Heung-min has expressed his excitement over the signing of Brennan Johnson.

His goalscoring ability needs work, but it’s not bad. Johnson scored 16 goals and provided nine assists in 46 games in England’s second-tier Championship in the 2021/22 season, helping Nottingham win promotion to the EPL. In his first season in the EPL last season, he finished as Nottingham’s second-leading scorer behind Tywar Oweneye with eight goals and three assists in 38 games. Nottingham finished 16th to stay in the EPL.

“With Harry Kane not in the team, all the players have to take responsibility,” Son told Football London after the game against Burnley. He added: “Everyone is good enough to improve.
