Césarjo’s Olympic hopes dashed, but three games remain crucial

The women’s national volleyball team, coached by Cesar Hernández González, has lost its fourth straight qualifying match for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. The loss was expected. They were outplayed and outclassed by some of the world’s top teams and failed to achieve their goal of qualifying for the Olympic Games.

South Korea fell 1-3 (25-20 17-25 19-25 17-25) in three sets to the United States in the fourth match of the Paris 2024 Olympic Qualification (Group C) on Tuesday (Feb. 20) in Łódź, Poland. Despite a strong start to the match, which saw them take the first set, they were unable to overcome the American barrier.

The loss was their fourth straight to start the tournament and ended their hopes of qualifying for the Paris Olympics. Even if they win all three of their remaining matches, they will not finish in the top two. They will need to finish first or second in their group to punch their ticket to the Olympics.

The encouraging part is that the team is getting older with each game. They suffered a shutout loss against Italy in the first round, but bounced back to take a set against the home team Poland in the second round. They followed that up with a close full-set loss to Germany and a first set win over the United States, who are considered one of the favorites in Group C.

Cesar will have a day off on the 21st before returning for matches 5, 6, and 7. Even though they haven’t pinned their ticket to the Olympics, the remaining three matches are crucial. They need a win to erase their undefeated VNL record and sixth place finish at the Asian Championships. We also need to make sure we are in good shape for the 2022 Hangzhou Asian Games. A good performance on the world stage will boost their confidence. 안전놀이터

South Korea will face Colombia on the 22nd. They will then face Thailand on the 23rd and Slovenia on the 24th. All of them are worthy opponents. They should be especially hungry for Thailand. They have lost four straight 0-3 games against the Thais. A win over the Thais, who are expected to contend for a medal at the 2022 Hangzhou Asian Games, could turn the tide for the team. After this qualifier, Cesar will travel to Hangzhou, China, to compete in the Hangzhou 2022 Asian Games starting on October 1.
