Son Heung-min, 31, trained in full strength following injury concerns.

Tottenham will host Luton Town in the eighth round of the English Premier League (EPL) 2023-2024 season at Kenilworth Road in Luton, England, on July 7 at 8:30 p.m. ET.

This season, Tottenham is unbeaten in seven league games with five wins and two draws (17 points). They are second in the standings behind Manchester City (W6 D1 L1 – 18 points). They have the same number of points as Arsenal (5 wins, 2 draws – 17 points) but are ahead on goal difference. A win against Luton Town would see them leapfrog Man City at the top of the table.

A video of the Spurs squad in training ahead of the game was released on the club’s official YouTube channel on Saturday. The mood on the training ground is more somber than cheerful.

Tottenham players do an indoor workout before hitting the pitch. Everyone warms up with stretching bands. We see the injured Bryan Hill, Eric Dier, and former captain Hugo Lloris. Yoris, who hasn’t found a new team and is still training with Tottenham, looks downcast. Son Heung-min also warms up among his teammates.

Next, the players change from running shoes to soccer cleats. Son Heung-min laces up his soccer cleats and takes to the field. Son Heung-min shouts “Yes~ts” at Hishalisong as he runs to cheer him up. Yves Bissouma also gets into the spirit with a “Common!” shout.

The Tottenham players split into groups to practice one-touch passing. Son Heung-min wears a pink vest and works hard.

At the end of the session, Emerson Royale, Christian Romero, and Dejan Klucepski stand shoulder to shoulder for a photo. When Bissouma interrupts the group, Romero pushes him out of the way with his hand.

Meanwhile, Son Heung-min’s groin problem has been bothering him since the last game against Liverpool. “He wasn’t 100 percent, but when we spoke before the game, he wanted to play,” Postecoglou said, according to Football London. “We were going to let him play for an hour, not the full time, but he wanted to do what he could.” However, Heung-min has been training with ease in preparation for the Luton Town game, increasing his chances of starting.

Heung-min has had a ‘spectacular’ start to the season after being converted to a frontline striker this season. He started the first three rounds of the league on the left flank before switching to the front line against Burnley in round four. He has lived up to Postecoglou’s expectations as soon as he switched positions. He scored a hat-trick against Burnley in a 5-2 victory, and followed it up with a multi-goal outburst against Arsenal in the North London derby in Round 6. Against Liverpool in the seventh round, he opened the scoring in a 2-1 win 스포츠토토.

With a total of six goals, Son is second on the team’s scoring list behind ‘goal machine’ Elling Holland (eight). His six goals in rounds 4-7 took him to 200 career goals in Europe and 150 for Tottenham (he now has 151).

He’ll be looking to extend his goal streak against Luton Town. Luton Town were promoted to the EPL this season after 31 years in the Championship until last season. However, they’re feeling the “spice” of the EPL. They currently sit in 17th place with a record of 1 win, 1 draw, and 5 losses (4 points). The team has conceded 14 goals. Fans are eager to see if Son Heung-min will continue his goal streak.
