Once Liverpool’s future…joining fifth tier at 27 ‘endless downward spiral’

Once highly touted, the downward spiral continues.

Ebbsfleet United, a club in the fifth tier of English soccer, announced the signing of Jordan Ive, 27, on its official website on Friday.

Ive is a name that should be familiar to soccer fans. He joined Liverpool in 2012 from fourth division Wycombe Wanderers. He was just 16 years old at the time. He’s a flanker who uses his physicality and strength to destroy opposing flanks.

In 2014-15, an injury to the offensive line briefly gave him a lot of opportunities. However, he failed to establish himself as a regular starter. In particular, his greed for dribbling earned him the ire of Liverpool fans. In 58 appearances for Liverpool, he scored four goals and provided seven assists.

He then opted to move to Bournemouth in 2016. However, he struggled at Bournemouth. So much so that it wasn’t until 2018 that he scored his debut goal for Bournemouth. In four years and 92 appearances in all competitions, he managed just five goals and nine assists. 메이저사이트

From there, it was a downward spiral. He headed to Derby County, where he made just one appearance in one season. During the 2021-22 season, he joined Adanaspor (Turkkiye), but didn’t play a single game. After being released from his contract at the end of the season, he was unemployed until he joined Efesplit, where he eventually made it to the fifth division.

It’s a fall without wings. He was once a promising player on the flanks of the Premier League, but quickly fell to the lower leagues.
