Embiid out, Simmons in…Philadelphia vs. Brooklyn, starting lineups revealed

October 17, 2023 | by bookmeforphotographers.com

The Philadelphia 76ers and Brooklyn Nets have announced their starting rosters for their preseason games.

The two teams will tip off the NBA’s 2023-24 preseason on Sunday at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, USA.

Philadelphia named Tyreese Maxey-Dianthony Melton-Kelly Oubre Jr.-Tobias Harris-Paul Reed to its starting lineup.

Head coach Nick Nurse said on Dec. 15 that he was looking forward to Embiid’s participation, but by the next morning, he was uncertain, calling the weather “not good.” Ultimately, Joel Embiid’s highly anticipated appearance was canceled. Additionally, Harden, who hasn’t played in a preseason game in a while, will make his final appearance before the opener.

For Brooklyn, Ben Simmons, Spencer Dinwiddie, Cam Thomas, Dorian Finney-Smith, and Nicholas Colaxton will start.

Michal Bridges, Cam Jones, and Dennis Smith Jr. have been ruled out of the game. This makes Ben Simmons’ role in leading the team even more important. 먹튀검증

It will be interesting to see how Ben Simmons performs against his hometown team as he continues to regain his form in Philadelphia. Philadelphia is also coming off a two-game losing streak, albeit in the preseason. Either way, Maxi will need to step up in the absence of Embiid.
