The 33-year-old’s ‘Real dream’ has come true…he’s signed on the dotted line and the journey continues

Real Madrid have decided to keep Joselu, 33, for life.

A late breakthrough. Joselu scored 14 goals in 37 La Liga games for Deportivo Alaves in the 2021-22 season. He then switched to Espanyol, where he scored 16 goals in 34 league games in 2022-23.

This summer’s transfer window presented an unexpected opportunity. Real, in need of a striker following the departure of Karim Benzema, made an offer. Joselu quickly accepted, and the loan move was finalized. The loan was worth €500,000 and the outright transfer cost only €1.5 million.
