Chelsea lost 1-4 to Newcastle United in the 13th round of the 2023-24 Premier League (PL) at St. James’ Park in Newcastle, England, at 0:00 a.m. ET on Saturday. With the result, Chelsea remains 10th in the league with 16 points, while Newcastle moves up to sixth with 23 points.
On the day, Chelsea deployed a 4-2-3-1 formation. Jackson started up front, followed by Sterling, Gallagher, and Palmer. Enzo and Ugochukwu made up the midfield, while the back four was made up of Cesc Fabregas, Badiacil, Silva, and James. Sanchez wore the goalkeeping gloves.

Richarlison came on for Isaac in the 35th minute. Newcastle drove a wedge into the game. In the 38th minute, Gordon found the back of the net from Almiron’s penetrating pass. In the end, the game ended with a 4-1 victory for Newcastle.
