Where will Juan Soto end up?

Soto joined the Washington Nationals in 2015 and made his major league debut in 2018. He made an immediate impact in his first season, hitting .292 with 22 home runs, a .406 on-base percentage, a .517 slugging percentage, and a .929 OPS (on-base plus slugging percentage). With both power and vision, Soto continued his upward trajectory and developed into a major league star.

In 2019, Soto led the Nats to a World Series championship and boasted a slew of awards, including the Silver Slugger and Babe Ruth awards. However, Soto declined a 15-year, $440 million extension offered by the Nats and was traded to the San Diego Padres during the 2022 season.

Soto struggled in his first year in San Diego. However, in 2023, he broke out again. In 162 games, he led the San Diego lineup with 36 home runs, 109 RBI, 97 runs scored, a .275 batting average, a .410 on-base percentage, a .519 slugging percentage, and a .929 OPS.

Soto is one year away from free agency. The Dodgers, in a tight financial situation, made Soto available for trade. Multiple teams looking to bolster their batting order have shown interest in Soto, but rumors abound and no deals have been completed. 카지노사이트

MLB.com, the official website of Major League Baseball, is also interested in Soto’s destination. “A trade for Soto appears to be in the works. It could happen soon.”

MLB.com went on to highlight Soto’s performance. “Soto’s performance has been near unrivaled. Looking at the 24-year-old’s batting performance over 1500 plate appearances, Soto has an OPS+ of 157. That ranks sixth. Frank Thomas (177), Mike Trout (170), Albert Pujols (167), Mickey Mantle (166), and Dick Allen (161) are in front of him.”

Sotoda is an incredibly talented man. That’s why it’s not easy to make comparisons to previous deals. “It’s not easy to find comparable trades,” MLB.com said, “It’s not often that a player like Soto becomes available in a trade. Given the difficulty of finding a player comparable to Soto, and even harder to find one who was actually traded, it’s hard to predict Soto’s future,” MLB.com said.

There are plenty of teams that want Soto. The New York Yankees, New York Mets, San Francisco Giants, Toronto Blue Jays, and Chicago Cubs are among the teams looking to bolster their lineups with Soto. MLB.com cited the Yankees as the best fit for Soto. “Yankee Stadium is built for lefties,” the site said. The Yankees can afford to sign Soto to a long-term deal,” predicting that Soto will be wearing pinstripes.

As for Toronto, “Toronto needs to fill at least three spots in the starting lineup. They are currently without a left fielder and a designated hitter. Acquiring Soto would give them a formidable top of the order with George Springer, Bo Bichette, and Vladimir Guerrero, Jr.”, the second most likely destination for Soto.

San Francisco is also interested in Soto. According to MLB.com, “The Giants tried unsuccessfully to sign Carlos Correa and Aaron Judge last year. The Giants are also interested in Shohei Ohtani, but have been unable to stifle their interest in Soto.”

With Cody Bellinger and Marcus Stroman eligible for free agency, the Cubs have also entered the fray for Soto. As MLB.com notes, “The Cubs have holes all over the place. With a stronger farm system than a few years ago, the Cubs should be able to fill San Diego’s needs. If they don’t re-sign Bellinger, it’s imperative that they find a top-tier hitter to replace him,” arguing that Soto should be acquired.

The storied Mets are also eyeing Soto. According to MLB.com, “With the disappointment of missing the postseason piling up, the Mets will be looking at all free agent signings. They are currently without a left fielder and have an anemic starting lineup,” according to MLB.com, making the Mets a likely destination for Soto.
