Arsenal will celebrate Christmas as the No. 1 player.

Arsenal tied Liverpool 1-1 in the 18th round of the Premier League (PL) for the 2023-24 season at Anfield in Liverpool, England, at 2:30 a.m. on the 24th (Korea time). Arsenal, which had one point, maintained the top spot in the league, and Liverpool regained the second spot that briefly lost to Aston Villa.

The home side Liverpool pulled out a 4-3-3 formation. Luis Díaz, Cody Gakpo, Mohamed Salah, Curtis Jones, Endo Wataru, Dominique Sobosleri, Konstantinos Tsimikas, Virgil van Dijk, Ibrahima Conate, and Trent Alexander-Arnold made the starting list. The goal was saved by Alisson Becker.

Arsenal’s choice was also a 4-3-3 formation. Gabriel Martinelli, Gabriel Jesus, Bukayo Saka, Kai Havertz, Declan Rice, Martin ᄋᅀᅳᅵdegaard, Oleksandr Zinchenko, Gabriel Magalyangis, William Saliba and Ben White started. The goalkeeper’s gloves were worn by David Raya.

Arsenal scored the first goal early in the day. With a free kick in the fourth minute of the first half, 기ᅀ르드degaard delivered the ball to the goal post with an elaborate kick, and Magalyangis leaped high and connected it with a header, shaking Liverpool’s net.

Arsenal’s first goal heated up the match. Arsenal and Liverpool displayed fierce competition in the midfield by exchanging strong pressure. As soon as they seized the ball, they attempted a counterattack quickly from that point on. Salah’s shot in the 14th minute and ᄋᅀᅳᅵdegaard’s shot in the 20th minute were all wrong. The mistake soon led to a fatal counterattack. Naturally, the mood of the game heated up.

Liverpool finally tied the game after a close game. At the 29th minute in the first half, Salah dribbled past Zinchenko who was marking himself after catching a pass that Alexander-Arnold sent to the front. Salah then hit his 12th goal in the league with a powerful left-footed shot.

Liverpool even tried to turn the tables, but there was a variable that broke this trend. At around the 34th minute of the first half, Tsimikas collapsed on the ground after colliding with Saka, complaining of pain and was eventually replaced. Liverpool replaced Joe Gomes with Tsimikas in the 35th minute of the first half, a relatively early time, and used the first replacement card. Since then, the two teams continued to fight back fiercely, but the first half ended 1-1 without any additional goals. 헤라카지노

Liverpool opened the second half. Diaz tried to shoot at the seventh minute of the second half but escaped. The same was true of Gomes’ shot at the ninth minute of the second half. Arsenal launched a counterattack with Jesus’ shot at the 13th minute of the second half and Zinchenko’s shot at the 16th minute of the second half, but ended in nothing.

When the balance remained unbalanced, both teams used replacement cards at the same time. Liverpool replaced Gakpo and Jones, including the injured Diaz. Harvey Elliott, Darwin Núñez, and Ryan Gravenberch came in instead. Arsenal replaced Martinelli with Leandro Trossar, making changes to the side.

Liverpool swallowed its regret. Alexander-Arnold’s shot hit the post in the 28th minute of the second half. Gomes’ shot was then blocked in the 30th minute of the second half. Liverpool continued to have chances. Núñez’s header came out in the 31st minute of the second half, but it also did not lead to a goal. Arsenal put Nketiah in place of Jesus in the 33rd minute of the second half to break the flow.

The game was still tight. Havertz attempted a left footed shot from the outside of the box at the 37th minute in the second half, but it passed by the side of the goal. Arsenal led the game in the closing minutes, but Liverpool also scored the come-from-behind goal with a counterattack. However, despite the efforts of the two teams, the match ended 1-1. Arsenal faced Christmas at the top of the table, and Liverpool remained one point shy of the lead.
