Is it America or Barca?…Messi+Suarez+Busquets+Alba 4 Fighters, Miami ‘Complete’ Training Starts

Four legends, who seem to have to be in Barcelona, not Miami, gathered again in one place.

Inter Miami started its pre-season winter training ahead of the 2024 season at the club’s training site on the 14th (Korea time). Luis Suárez, a world-renowned Uruguayan striker who commanded Europe with Messi from Barcelona, made his first appearance at the training site since joining the club.

Messi was the first to appear, followed by Suarez. The two players prepared for the training by greeting their teammates who were out first.

“There’s nothing cuter than playing with friends,” the club said on its social networking service, posting a photo of Messi, Suarez, Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba sitting side by side on the bench taking rest after training. The four legendary Barcelona fighters made up the whole group.

Inter Miami announced on its official website on Dec. 23 last year that it had signed Suarez. The club did not disclose the specific length of the contract, but according to Fabrizio Romano, a journalist specializing in the transfer market, he has an option to extend his one-year contract for another year.

Through the club, Suarez said, “I’m happy and excited to take on a new challenge at Inter Miami. I can’t wait to get started and I’m ready to try to achieve my dream of winning more titles with this great club. With the ambition we shared together, we have a positive idea that we can achieve.”

Co-owner David Beckham also said, “We are delighted to have Suarez’s quality and passion. He joins the squad to inspire the next generation. We are looking forward to seeing him play with his former teammates and new academy players.

As Beckham said, Suarez reunited with his Barcelona teammates. Suarez shares a meal with Messi, Sergio Busquets, and Jordi Alba at the Barcelona club. The club also celebrated their reunion by posting pictures of their children wearing their father’s uniforms on social media.

Suarez started his European career in 2006 when he moved from his national team Nacional to Groningen (the Netherlands). He moved to Liverpool (England) after moving to Ajax (the Netherlands) and entered the big league.

Suarez rose to the top of the Premier League scoring list with 31 goals in the 2013-2014 season, raising his stock price. With his ability to infiltrate animals, make decisions, and break through dribbles, Suarez was considered one of the best strikers in the league by destroying the Premier League’s physical defense.

Despite Suarez’s outstanding performance, Liverpool failed to accumulate points at the end of the league, and thus failed to win the title. In the summer of 2014, he moved to Barcelona for a transfer fee of 81.72 million euros, where he met with teammates.

In the 2014-2015 season, Suarez replaced Messi as a forward. At that time, the MSN line of Messi, Suarez, and Neymar dominated not only La Liga but also Europe’s strongest attack trio. Suarez recorded the 10-10 league by scoring 16 goals and 16 assists in 27 La Liga matches during this season, and was one of the biggest contributors to Barcelona’s achievement of the second treble ever (Lariga, Copa del Rey, and UEFA Champions League).

In the 2015-2016 season, he scored 30 goals in La Liga and was awarded Piccić (Lariga top scorer). Until his departure to Atletico Madrid in the summer of 2020, he had played 283 games in Barcelona, recording 195 goals and 113 assists. He also became the “help king” for three consecutive seasons from the 2015/16 season. He was named as one of the best 11 players in the FIFA World Cup due to his outstanding performances.

Suarez showed off his robustness with 21 goals and three assists at Atletico Madrid in the 2020-2021 season and led his team to the league championship. He then moved to his old team, Nacional, in the summer of 2022, and began spending the last years of his career. He lifted the trophy again, driving his team to the league championship in the 2022 season.

In 2023, he moved to Gremio, one of Brazil’s most prestigious teams, and continued his performance by lifting the cup trophies such as Campéonatou Gausch and Lecopa Gausha.

Suarez, whose contract with Gremio expires on the 31st of this month, said goodbye to Gremio and began the process of retiring with Messi.

Earlier in July, Suarez said in an interview with Uruguayan media outlet Punto Penal that he and Messi are dreaming of a retirement career. “Luckily, I have the right to be where I can be happy. Let’s see what I will do from now on and where I will retire,” he said. “If I want to retire with my best friend, if I have talked about it in Barcelona since 2017 or 2018, why shouldn’t I?”

“Messi and I planned our whole lives together. We wanted to retire together from Barcelona. But Messi went to Major League Soccer (MLS). Soccer is changing. After I left Barcelona, he left, too,” he said. “We hope that we will spend the end of our careers together at the same club. We will enjoy the joy of soccer and retire by playing together purely. I am not sure about Neymar, but Messi and I will definitely be together.”

Suarez has made this a reality. With Messi moving to the U.S. stage this summer, it is increasingly likely that Suarez will spend his last years in Miami, and after finishing his South American tour at the Gremio, he moved to the U.S.

Messi moved to Miami with Busquets in July last year. He played for Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) in France for the last two years, and his contract expired in June. Inter Miami has come to embrace Messi after competing with Al Hilal, a prestigious Saudi Arabian team that uses “oil money” with Barcelona.

Messi’s contract terms were not disclosed except for the three-year contract period, but Jorge Mars, who co-owner with Beckham, said in an interview with Spanish media earlier this month that Messi’s annual salary is between $50 million (about 65.7 billion won) and $60 million (about 78.9 billion won).

In addition, Messi’s contract includes provisions related to Apple TV, a global OTT platform that has MLS and MLS broadcast rights, and revenue distribution. The main goal is to receive a certain portion of the profits from Apple TV broadcast rights and the right to hold a stake in a club after retirement in the future. 마카오카지노도메인

The grand joining ceremony for Messi and Busquets was also hosted by Apple TV. Users who owned the Apple TV MLS season pass could watch it for free.

Apple TV signed a 10-year long-term contract with MLS in March this year, receiving at least $250 million (about 316.7 billion won) per season.

Jordi Alba also signed a two-year contract with Inter Miami, and the trio of Messi, Busquets and Alba will spend their last years together. Suarez also joined the club this year, allowing them to continue playing romantic soccer.

During their six seasons with Barcelona from 2014 to 2020, the four players shared significant careers, including one UEFA Champions League victory, four La Liga wins, four Copa del Rey wins, one UEFA Super Cup win and one FIFA Club World Cup victory. The 2014-2015 season made history by leading Barcelona’s second treble (Lariga, Copa del Rey, and Champions League wins).

Meanwhile, Miami will have a friendly match with the El Salvadoran national soccer team under the name of “Hybrid Prandless” at the Estadio Cuscatlan in San Salvador, El Salvador, at 10 a.m. on the 20th. It is classified as a B match, not an official A match.

He will then move to Saudi Arabia at the end of January and play friendly matches against Al Hilal and Al Nasr, respectively, at 3 a.m. on January 30 and February 2 at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh. Cristiano Ronaldo, who commanded the 2010s with Messi, is scheduled to face off in the preseason.
