San Diego Padres infielder Kim Ha-sung played a multi-hit game for two consecutive days with a timely two-run final.

Kim Ha-sung played as the fifth batter and shortstop in an away game against the Colorado Rockies at Coors Field in Denver, Colorado, on the 25th (Korea time), recording two hits and two RBIs in four times at bat.

With the hit on the day, Kim’s batting average rose to 0.240 (23 hits in 96 times at bat). With 15 RBIs, Kim rose to No. 1 in the Padres. Jake Cronenworth, Jurickson Profar and Fernando Tatis Jr. both have 15 RBIs.

Kim had a hit and an RBI single from his first at bat. With the bases loaded with one outs in the top of the first inning, he hit a two-run double that fell on the right-hand line to create the first run. He lowered his upper body and hit sensationally to create a hit. Since then, Kim has scored when subsequent hitters made a timely hit.

After being out after hitting a fly ball to the right field in the third inning, Kim made a multi-hit game by making a surprise bunt at his third at-bat with no outs in the top of the sixth inning when his team was leading 4-0. Afterwards, the Colorado third baseman made it to the second base with his bad pitches, creating a chance to score runs. With runners on the second and third bases with no outs, San Diego added another run.

Kim was also outstanding in defense. With runners on the first and second bases with one out in the fourth inning, Kim erased the loss by blocking Elias Diaz’s drive to left field. It became an infield hit, but Kim did not advance due to stellar defense. Since then, San Diego faced a crisis with the bases loaded, but starter Matt Waldron handled two batters, finishing the inning without losing a point.

Thanks to Kim Ha-sung, who played an active role in offense and defense, San Diego won by capturing Colorado 5-2.
